Case Study
Midway Manor
This Hornbeam Avenue was supplied and planted by Tree Parts at our long-standing client’s home, Midway Manor, near Bradford-on-Avon.
Between 2003 and 2007 at Midway Manor, Bradford-on-Avon, we planted over 10,000 native trees over three phases of Government backed Woodland Grants.
Wherever we have created new woodlands, we work with The Hawk and Owl Trust to locate Barn Owl boxes, due to the creation of suitable habitats of extensive meadow grassland.
At Midway Manor we now have two breeding pairs of Barn Owls (Tyto alba) and one pair of Tawny Owls (Strix aluco) being annually monitored, on former agricultural land.
The English Woodland Grant Scheme was established by the Forestry Commission to promote and protect sustainable woodland environments.
Woodlands Tree Parts have designed and planted using these grants have greatly improved localised biodiversity, creating sustainable habitats for native flora and fauna
If you have productive agricultural land and are considering a change of land use, we are able to secure Farm Woodland Payments over 15 years for new planting. Do give us a call to discuss in more detail.
